Agricultural uses support the cultivation of land for crops or the keeping of farm animals, and may include a farm area with agricultural structures, pasture land and existing home sites.  Some property owners have elected to sell development rights and allow for protective conservation easements to prevent future development, while others have established Agricultural Protection Area status to protect current farming operations.
